A couple of weeks ahead of forecasts, the Festival publishes the Open Call to participate in the second edition of the Interfaccia Digitale Award 2021, addressed to choreographers, performers, visual artists and video makers of any nationality.

Through the Award, Hangartfest intends to promote the spread of contemporary artistic languages, encourage creativity through the use of digital media and create the conditions for cultural growth based on interdisciplinary artistic exchanges.

Specific objectives are: to support the production of new video dance works, to promote the use of contemporary expressive languages conveyed through video and cinematographic techniques and to attract artists from different fields such as the performing arts and the visual arts, facilitating the interaction between multidisciplinary artistic languages.

There are several novelties of this edition compared to 2020, to mark the will of the Management to improve the initiative that last year was able to thrill the audience. We note the presence of three juries: the Interdisciplinary Jury, made up of video makers, graphic designers, choreographers, visual artists and theater directors, the Jury of Critics and Scholars which sees the presence of dance critics and experts in communication and finally the Jury of the Audience, made up of passionate spectators to whom, as on other occasions, the Festival attributes a non-marginal role. Another novelty is the presence of the President of the Prize, who is entrusted with the task of decreeing the winner at the end of the event. The names of the members of the juries and the President of the Prize will be disclosed only at the end of the Call.

Four selection criteria: creative originality; correspondence between concept, script and direction; shooting quality; interaction between artistic languages and dance (in its broadest sense of the term). The videos must have a duration between 3 and 8 minutes.

After three levels of selection, the Interfaccia Digitale Award will culminate on 30 October 2021 with the awards ceremony, with the presence of the audience and the juries. The evening will also close the 18th edition of Hangartfest and will be broadcast live on the Festival's social channels.

To participating the online Application Form must be sent by 15 July 2021.
